About Us: CFS of New York is working with a reputable real estate firm specializing in property management, leasing, and sales. They are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team and support our financial operations.Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to maintain accurate financial records.Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes for property operations.Monitor tenant accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments as needed.Coordinate with property managers and leasing agents to ensure timely recording of rental income and expenses.Assist with year-end financial reporting and tax preparation as needed.Qualifications of the Bookkeeper:High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in the real estate industry.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi) and Microsoft Excel.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
