This is your chance to join our team - help us to design the infrastructure and buildings that improve the world!We are currently seeking a College Intern to join the WRA Transit team in our Baltimore, MD office to work as the College Assistant for the MTA Red Line High School Internship program. The proposed Red Line project that will connect East and West Baltimore (**).The Red Line High School Internship program will focus on a small group of high school students from a Baltimore City High School. The Red Line High School Internship Program is designed to engage students in the Red Line Transit Project who live or attend school in the corridor and expose then to educational and career opportunities in transportation.The College Assistant would work directly with the WRA senior staff to plan, lead, encourage, and engage these high school intern students during the 6-week internship period. The College Assistant will support the day-to-day management of high school tern **  May 27 , 2024 - August 8, 2024Working *****  8:30 a.m. - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday**Work under direction of senior staff.Assist in managing six summer high school interns hired to work in the MTA Red Line High School internship program. Schedule and prepare assignments and activities for interns.Prepare and deliver presentations.Conduct basic research and data collection.Assist in the development of graphics, presentation materials and reports.Assist project team members with various support tasks.Currently enrolled in a Transportation Systems, Transportation and highway engineering, Civil Engineering or other related undergraduate program from an accredited institution.  Preferred completion of 2 years of the program.Effective oral/written communication skills.Ability to handle multiple projects and manage time accordingly.Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others.Willingness to take on new challenges and learn more about the field while working on these challenges.Experience working with Microsoft Office programs.WRA is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and complies with all applicable anti-discrimination laws.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basiswithout the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
