BronxCare Health System, a major teaching hospital system, now has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Audiologist in its Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Department. Responsibilities include conducting hearing and balance evaluations for inpatients and outpatients of all ages; obtaining history and condition of patients through interviews and diagnostic testing; evaluating audiological data to assist physicians in determining causes for a patient's condition; writing clear and timely reports for physicians; and developing personalized treatment and monitoring plans. Additional responsibilities involve developing methods to identify hearing-impaired patients at the hospital and community, facilitating outreach and education efforts, and participating in quality monitoring activities. Audiologist candidates must have expertise in at least two (2) of the following areas- Infant and Pediatric Audiology, Diagnostic Audiology, Forensic and Occupational Audiology, Amplification and Aural Rehabilitation, and Balance and Spatial Orientation. A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A), New York State license in Audiology, and a minimum of three years clinical experience in a medical/hospital setting are required.
