We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Lead Clinical Lab Scientist performs, as assigned, all technical, analytical, clerical, and quality assurance tasks and duties associated with laboratory testing. Represents department to accreditation and governmental surveyorsAccepts in-charge duties as assignedResponsible for coordinating the work of other staff as assignedReports to Laboratory Administrative Director, Laboratory Medical Director, Laboratory Microbiology Director, Laboratory ManagersQualifications:Current State of California Department of Health Services Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) LicenseCollege degree in Biological Sciences (BA or BS)Three (3) years or more experience as a CLS II at Regional Hospital preferredFive (5) years' experience in clinical laboratory required Regional Medical Center of San Jose is a 264 bed acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma Center. The hospital provides a host of technologically advanced services including Cardiovascular, Neuro, Orthopedic, Bariatric and General Surgery, Interventional Pulmonology and services for Women. Regional holds Joint Commission advanced certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Get with the Guidelines- Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. County-designated STEMI (heart attack) Receiving Center designated Lung Cancer Screening Center, a member of Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ECMO) and certified by The Joint Commission in Sepsis care.
