Job Description

As a Senior Accountant with Robert Half, you will play a pivotal role in providing accounting expertise to various clients across different industries. This position offers a dynamic and challenging work environment where you will have the opportunity to work with diverse clients, utilize different accounting software, and contribute to the financial success of multiple organizations.Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, analyzing account activity and identifying discrepancies or variances for investigation and resolution.Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating with management to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for decision-making.Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis, to assess the company's financial performance and support strategic planning.Internal Controls: Evaluate internal controls and accounting processes, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with policies and regulations.Audit Support: Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed to ensure audit readiness and compliance.Tax Compliance: Assist in tax compliance activities, including the preparation of tax returns, tax provisions, and supporting schedules, in collaboration with tax advisors and authorities.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other departments, such as finance, operations, and legal, to provide financial expertise, support business initiatives, and address accounting-related matters.Staff Training and Development: Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance on technical accounting issues, best practices, and professional development opportunities.Special Projects: Lead or participate in special projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, or financial analysis initiatives, to drive efficiency and add value to the organization.Adherence to Policies and Regulations: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements, staying updated on changes and developments in accounting practices.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.Several years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.Thorough understanding of GAAP, financial accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Leadership qualities, including the ability to mentor, coach, and motivate team members.Proven track record of managing complex projects and driving process improvements.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Full benefits package, including health insurance, dental, and vision coverage.Generous sick and vacation time to promote work-life balance.Retirement benefits to support long-term financial planning.Access to discretionary bonus programTuition reimbursementHealth Savings Accounts (HSAs) Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)Joining Robert Half provides a unique opportunity to leverage your accounting skills across diverse clients while enjoying comprehensive benefits and professional growth.
