Job DescriptionSummary of Primary Responsibilities:Arixa Capital is seeking a full-time Director of Investor Relations & Business Development to work in our Los Angeles office. As a key member of the investor relations team, the Director will report to the Chief Financial Officer, with additional accountability to the Managing Directors. The Director will be responsible for driving sales - attracting new assets into the existing Arixa investment funds, primarily from private wealth advisory firms and family offices. The role involves building new relationships with private wealth advisors, principally on the West Coast. The successful candidate must be capable of managing a multi-step sales process that not only promotes Arixa investment funds, but also educates wealth advisors about private real estate credit and how it contributes to portfolio diversification. Selected responsibilities include: Drive capital growth from registered investment advisors and family offices into Arixa's open-ended funds. Build new relationships with private wealth advisors through various forms of communication, including email, phone calls, and both virtual and in-person meetings. Understand and articulate the Company's funds and what differentiates them from each other and within the market, while providing a consultative approach to each investor's objectives.Maintain data integrity by promptly capturing relevant investor activities and perceptions in Arixa's CRMsystem, maintaining accurate and thorough commentary.Coordinate with relevant Arixa teams to facilitate closings, reporting, ad hoc requests, and any investor activity.Apply understanding of credit markets, client portfolios, and client preferences to identify new products and development opportunities.Special ProjectsWork with other internal teams in handling special requirements or projects. Stay current with changing regulations and best practices within investment advisory services and investment management.Requirements Degree from a four-year college or university required; MBA / advanced degree, related credentials (like CFA) strongly preferred.Successful track record of relationship building and capital raising from RIAs and/or UHNW and family offices. Strong product and vehicle structure knowledge within fixed income and the ability to effectively differentiate the Arixa value proposition and its role in portfolio construction.Excellent business acumen, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to identify client needs while positioning Arixa as an appropriate solution.Exceptional ability to compile and analyze data to guide desired outcomes.Strong judgement, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.Continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to think critically about systems and processes to improve them through hard work and creative thinking.This LA-based position requires in-office work four (4) or more days per week to ensure close alignment among all executive team members.The position requires travel to client sites for meetings and presentations. CompensationThis is an exempt full-time position, with a salary range being: $150,000 - $200,000, plus discretionary bonus potential.
