Our Facilities Department operates 7 days per week - hours may vary depending on business needs.   Additional Responsibilities Include: Perform minor electrical and HVAC repairs such as lamps, small appliances, removal or placement of telephones, replacement or repair of switches, fan motors, thermostats, etc. Perform minor carpentry repairs such as door/window moldings, banisters, furniture and maintain, paint, and repair hotel walls, patching of wall boards, wallpapering or painting and all floors and floor coverings such as carpets, ceramic tiles, etc. Perform minor plumbing repairs such as leaking faucets and valves, etc. Maintain and repair hotel and laundry equipment such as: vacuums, floor polishers/carpet shampooers, housekeeping carts, preventative maintenance checklist for filters, oil, grease motors, etc. Respond to maintenance requests from hotel guests, employees and spa staff. Maintain supply of parts and repair tools and use proper safety measures when operating any equipment, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements. Assist in all other responsibilities as assigned and deemed appropriate by management. Qualifications What are we looking for? To fulfill this role optimally, you will need to possess the following minimum qualifications and experience: 2+ years experience in maintenance/engineering to include electrical, plumbing and carpentry repair. Proficient in the proper and safe use of all tools, equipment, materials, chemicals and products relating to the department.
