Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant - RASFPosition Summary Miami Vascular Specialist is a nationally renowned practice, serving the largest health care system in the Miami area and South Florida for 60 years. MVS partners with the Baptist Health System including Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. As a leader in Cardiac & Vascular specialties, MVS and MCVI provide patients with comprehensive care across all the locations throughout the health system. We are currently seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to work in collaboration with a team of Vascular Surgeons and fellow Advance Practice Providers. The candidate assists in providing services in a hospital practice setting, such services include but not be limited to: * Primary role is to be an Advanced Practice Providersubstitute for minor procedures * Assist in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults and inpatient rounding. * Schedule patients for procedures including pre-authorizations, work with other facilities to coordinate procedures as needed, process orders, sending reports back to referring doctors. * Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illness andor injuries. * Order and interpret laboratory and radiographic studies * Perform or assist procedures * Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes * Perform history and physical examinations of patients * Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patients * Educate patients on their medical care * Other duties as assigned We are looking for a hard-working, bright and responsible individual who is willing to learn. They must be able to work full-time weekdays, equitable weekends, some holidays, and be able to take call (call is compensated separately). Spanish speaking is a plus, but not a requirement. We offer a competitive base salary which can be enhanced by taking call in the hospital, generous PTO, full complement of benefits including health insurance and 401k. The division of Vascular & Interventional Radiology of MVS provides the Interventional Radiology services for the renowned Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, Miami Cancer Institute, Baptist Hospital of Miami, South Miami Hospital, and Doctors Hospital. DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Graduate of physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission of Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or a predecessor organization * Graduate AMA accredited program * One-year Physician Assistant experience * Must be up-to-date with the standards required for continuing medical education for physician assistants * Prior specific radiology experience will not be required initially * Board-certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) * Must be licensed to practice in the State of Florida RADIOLOGY PARTNERS OVERVIEW Radiology Partners is the largest and fastest growing on-site radiology practice in the US.
