We believe that our community and clients deserve a financially secure and bright future.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Financial Planning Associate plays an integral role on a Financial Advisor's team by providing planning and integrated operations support to the Financial Advisor's practice. The ideal candidate will have an active interest in the financial services industry and desire for professional growth. This role is critical to the success of the Financial Advisor and requires a high degree of organizational capability, strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Case PreparationResponsible for ensuring that a complete and accurate plan is developed for every client aligned to Northwestern Mutual's planning philosophy and best practices.Analyze client financial goals, current situation, and portfolio. Develop appropriate recommendations to meet client needs, risk profile, time horizon and preferences. • Identify gaps and opportunities within a prospect's financial plan and prepare insurance illustrations and investment proposals accordingly.Solutions may include life, disability, long term care insurance; brokerage; annuity options; and supported advisory programs.Prepare Morningstar reports.Create Proposals and Investment Policy Statements for supported advisory programs.Gather information for advisor meetings with clientsprospects (e.g. prospectuses, annual reports, and marketing materials) and client reports.Promote, utilize, and reinforce planning culture aligned to Northwestern Mutual's planning philosophy and best practices.Consult advisor on the presentation of the plan, investment cases and successful client presentation.Planning SupportGather and prepare all materials for client review meetings: updated plan, investment summary, consolidated investment reports, in-force illustrations, CCVs, etc.Assist advisor by providing information to answer client questions.Upon request, educate advisor on how to respond and address system generated alerts.As needed, provide education and guidance to advisor and staff to complete service requests.IDEAL CHARACTERISTICSUnderstanding of portfolio construction and how an investor profile relates to investment solutionsStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliabilityOrientation toward working independently, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-throughStrong analytical, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced team environmentDemonstrated organizational and time management skills with ability to set priorities and meet deadlinesStrong sense of professionalism and discretion requiredREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's DegreeProficient in Microsoft Office applications - Outlook, Word, ExcelFlorida Life & Health License (2-15) or ability to obtain within 60 daysSIE or ability to obtain within 6 monthsSeries 6 or 7 or ability to obtain within 6 monthsSeries 63 or ability to obtain within 6 monthsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrior Financial Services experience2+ years financial operations experienceExperience with Morningstar, NetX360 andor CRM client management software a plusBENEFITSBenefits include subsidized health insurance, PTO, licensecredential sponsorship and reimbursement.ADDITIONAL DETAILSEmployment Structure: Full-timeLocation: 2601 Cattlemen Road, Suite 201, Sarasota FL 34232Job Type: Full-timePay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per yearBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:Financial services: 2 years (Preferred)LicenseCertification:Series 6 License (Preferred)Series 7 License (Preferred)Series 63 License (Preferred)Florida Health, Life and Annuities (FL 2-15) License?
