A client of ours is hiring a Collections associate to join their team.Collections AssociateFully on-site in Livermore, CA.$22-27.00 Hourly Responsibilities:Contact customers by phone, email, and mail to recover debtInitiate and receive a large volume of customer phone calls dealing with consumer and mortgage loan delinquencies on a daily basis.Actively listen to and respond to customer needs while having a courteous and helpful attitude.Analyze the customers situation and collateral risk to identify alternative solutions, including repayment plans, loan modifications, short sales, forbearance plans and deed-in-lieu agreements.Consult with customers to identify, negotiate and pursue the appropriate loss mitigation option that best maximizes customer satisfaction and reduces the company's loss risk.Assign repossession requests and process associated paperwork.Collaborate with co-workers in your department and in other departments and branches to provide effective and efficient service to our customers.Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the company's products and services.Understand and comply with applicable Federal and State laws, banking regulations and the companies policies and proceduresMaintain updated customer notes and information in systemPerform other related duties as assigned.
