Job Description

The Product Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the development process from concept to finished SMS. The ideal candidate will provide visibility to the development execution during the collection process while partnering with the design, tech, and production teams to ensure collection objectives and timelines are met. With a large portfolio of brands, Delta Galil has multiple positions available within the department.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for all milestone due dates on production TNASupport designer and technical designer in sourcing and costing and development functionsAnswer daily e-mail communication with factories, in a timely and completelyProvide the Import & Logistics Department with shipping documents, Top of Production approvals, and vendor shipping confirmation for prompt deliveryAssist in supporting special projects, when neededSolve any production issues by working closely with the Production teamEnsure on-time delivery of production samples by monitoring Time and Action CalendarsPartners with Merchandising and Design to maintain all development calendars with multiple seasons overlapping and meet all deadlinesResponsible for sending out all development sample requests and managing T&A on samples.Manage and track samples from vendors and keep them organized and available for meetingsGood fabric knowledge of construction and finishesWork with design to establish and maintain color palettes seasonally, conduct all lab dips, and strike off commenting and libraries.Manage the development of new products across markets (sourcing andor production)Ensure an on-time, on-budget, and quality developmentDemonstrate experiences working with product (Fit, Lifecycle, and delivery dates)Responsible for creating BOMs and working with design on approvalsQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field preferred6+ years of apparel product development experienceBasic understanding of garment construction and technical knowledge of production preferredBasic understanding of the product lifestyleMust be proactive and possess the ability to meet tight deadlines with a sense of urgencyMust have exceptional organizational skillsUnderstanding of Time and Action timelines to ensure accuracy and on-time deliveriesHighly detail-orientedDemonstrates self-motivation and adeptness in independently managing workloads with efficiencyMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in MS Suite, advanced knowledge of ExcelSCHEDULE:5 days a week in the office.DIVERSITY VISION STATEMENT:We are committed to creating an inclusive environment that welcomes and values the differences among all of our associates, customers, suppliers, and the communities in which we live and conduct business.
