With the mission of being a catalyst for group-wide innovation and an engine for disruptive force in driving growth, we are investing in a breed of entrepreneurs who are pushing the boundaries of technology and deep science to redefine the future of industrial and energy markets.Position Overview:Reporting to the Head of HFP Ventures, you will be a key member of the team responsible for working with FIRs (Founder-in-Residence) to help them build new ventures and mold the technological terrain within our deep-tech venture creation program. The role requires driving the Build program from concept development through venture spinouts. We are seeking someone with substantial experience in launching and operating startups, ideally with a fervent interest in aerospace and defense technology. Your successful track record in market research and adeptness in steering projects toward lucrative venture spinouts are essential. If you are driven by innovation, entrepreneurship, and the opportunity to harness your expertise in defensedual-use technology to craft ventures that make a difference, we invite you to join our growing team.Key Responsibilities:Venture BuildingDrive origination including sourcing founders, business ideation, and forming start-up teams to introduce novel technologies and disruptive approaches to industries of strategic interest to Hanwha GroupLeverage existing professional network and contribute to the development of HFP Ventures' entrepreneurial ecosystem by enlisting collaborators - research institutions, universities, incubators, entrepreneurs - to ensure our ability to identify high-caliber FIRs and provide necessary resources to startupsSpearhead in-depth research and analysis on deep technologies to formulate or enhance hypotheses, then translate them into initial validation experiments and prototypes to arrive at a solid business caseHelp steer the startups toward success by providing advice on product validation, business models, go-to-market strategies, stakeholder management, customer journey, team building, funding strategy, etc.Assist in HFP Ventures' investment decision upon spinning out a startupContinue to collaborate with spinouts as they grow the team, acquire customers, and proactively support the founders en route to closing its external round of fundingProject Management:Develop and implement a data-driven approach to tracking startup teams progress, financials, and metricsInterface with startup teams and stakeholders (both internal and external) for regular status updatesCoordinate and lead internal and external meetingsManage changes to the project scope and scheduleManage the relationship with internal and external stakeholdersTake detailed briefing notes and clarify the specific requirements of each project Required Qualifications:Have extensive entrepreneurial experience co-founding and leading an early-stage company or have equivalent intrapreneurial experience as Product Manager andor OperatorAt least 7 years of professional experience in accelerator, management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, startups, or other highly entrepreneurial enterpriseStrong acumen in driving due diligence process including market research, competitive landscape, and technology moatsPassionate about moving fast and possess a high level of comfort in dealing with incomplete informationSelf-starter and ability to deliver results under minimal supervisionExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge and interest in disruptive technologies in sectors related to aerospace & defense or deep tech sectorsGeneralist with solid skills in a key startup discipline (sales, engineering, product, design, marketing, etc.)Experience in pitching to investors and raising capital for early-stage venturesStrong technical and analytic skills typically practiced in STEM degrees or equivalent backgroundExperience in working with multicultural environments and time zonesPlease note that there is no visa sponsorship available for this role and Inclusion:Hanwha believes that diversity and inclusion are vital to our success.
