Job Summary:The Senior Human Resources Generalist leads and directs the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including services, policies, and programs for the entire company. Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervises the HR Coordinator. Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Partners with company leadership to understand and execute the organization's human resource strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and succession planning.Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive pay and benefit programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.Administers all company health and welfare benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, and life and disability; prepares and presents annual open enrollment in partnership with benefits broker; assists with claims resolution; and reconciles monthly benefits invoices.Leads company safety initiatives. Chairs the safety committee; tracks safety training; completes accident reports; maintains OSHA logs and submits OSHA data annually; manages workers' compensation.Administers 401k retirement plan. Submits weekly contribution files; approves withdrawals; enters deferral elections and loans into payroll system; performs annual discrimination testing; participates in annual 401k audit; acts as plan fiduciary.Maintains data in Paycom HRIS. Enters pay changes; enters third party sick pay; submits garnishments; processes final payouts; creates new client users; tracks ACA compliance; acts as backup to HR Coordinator for payroll processing.Manages all company leave including STDLTD and FMLA leave.Responds to unemployment claims and completes employment verifications.Participates in annual ISO audit.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Performs other related duties as assigned by General Manager and Global Controller.Supports all quality systems requirements. Physical Requirements:This position requires spending time in a seated position while working at a computer station for extended periods of time.Work also requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, hearing, talking, and lifting (up to 20 pounds).This position will be on-site in a manufacturing facility. Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible HR experience.Experience in manufacturing environment strongly preferred.Thorough knowledge of employment laws and other government regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS. Paycom experience a plus.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and be an effective team player.Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
