Position Summary:Sorate Matcha & Tea in Soho, New York, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic employee to join our team.As a Sorate Employee, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining the overall operation of the cafe. Your primary responsibilities will include serving customers, preparing and serving tea beverages, managing inventory, and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. Key Responsibilities:1. Customer Service: - Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner. - Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries, taking orders, and ensuring their satisfaction. - Offer recommendations on tea selections and provide information about their characteristics and benefits. - Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, seeking resolutions to ensure a positive experience.2. :Matcha & Tea Preparation and Service - Prepare and serve a variety of Matcha & Tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. - Demonstrate knowledge of different tea varieties, their brewing methods, and the appropriate presentation. - Maintain a clean and organized tea preparation area, including the proper storage and rotation of tea leaves. - Ensure that tea supplies, equipment, and utensils are well-maintained and readily available.3. Cash Handling and Point-of-Sale (POS) Operations: - Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently. - Process payments, including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments, and provide customers with receipts. - Maintain an accurate cash drawer, perform cash reconciliations, and report any discrepancies to the supervisor. - Familiarize yourself with the cafe's POS system and utilize it effectively to process orders and track inventory.4. Inventory Management: - Monitor and manage inventory levels of tea leaves, condiments, and other supplies. - Receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality. - Perform regular inventory counts, identify low-stock items, and communicate replenishment needs to the supervisor. - Assist in maintaining appropriate stock levels, minimizing waste, and reducing costs.5.
