We are seeking a sales professional to play a key role in the sale of our market research products and services. This is an exciting, rewarding sales position that will expose you to the latest trends in numerous hot technology markets. Primary Responsibilities:Pre-qualify sales opportunities generated from marketing campaign leadsManage existing client renewals and relationshipsProspect for new accounts and business development opportunitiesEngage and manage indirect channel partnersCommunicate with senior executives, via phone and email, about their key business challenges and assessing their needs for market intelligence and other VDC servicesConduct pre-call research about prospective clients to engage in meaningful discussions and to identify other account decision makers and influencersDocument and communicate activities and conversations with prospective and existing clients in CRM ()Our ideal candidate will have:Three to five years of experience selling (from initial pitch through to close) technology products andor services to Director, VP, and C-level executives at Fortune 1000 accounts through a combination of inside (80%) and outside (20%) sales efforts.Experience identifying, qualifying and closing b2b deals ranging from $5,000 to over $50,000.Demonstrated ability and willingness to prospect for new business.Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage a large pipeline of accounts.Ability to independently and efficiently formulate, draft from a blank page, present and negotiate highly professional, formal proposals to senior executives, including strong writing skills.Ability and natural inclination to create need and operate with a high degree of urgency.Strong business acumen, to help senior executive understand how market intelligence and analyst services can be used to improve their business performance.Consultative selling style that focuses on professional but persistent qualification of prospect's budget, authority, need and timing.Ability to grasp new concepts, communicate them effectively to clients and prospects, and get clientsprospects excited about our research programs.Demonstrated ability to be a disciplined user of a CRM. Experience using a plus.Strong (not basic) skillset related to all business applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, web searching, etc.Bachelor's degree.Reside in the greater Boston area (no relocations).Experience selling market intelligence products and services covering technology markets, or experience selling other information products and services.Be a part of a collaborative organization that is at the forefront of analyzing trends and best practices in the tech industry.
