Defined Benefit Combo Cash Balance Compliance Consultant (Work from Home) $82k-$87kEmployment Type:Full-Time, ExemptWhy Work Here?"We value experience, the desire to gain knowledge and the motivation to do your best."Job purposeThe position will advise an employer or plan sponsor in matters relating to retirement plans, review and analyze retirement plan documents, prepares and manages plan and funding documents related to retirement. If you are interested in a stable family orientated company with a desirable work-life balance and a permanent employer, look no further.Job Description• Accurately prepare contribution calculations for clients which include reviewing the client census data and reconciliation of the contributions,• Review client employee census data, optimization of total contribution and compliance testing,• Act as the primary point of contact for client contact and correspondence addressing questions and concerns while maintaining the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction,• Attend all team and or department meetings,• Review or perform, as needed, the annual testing for plans, including ADPACP, Top Heavy, 410(b), 415, 401(a)(4), 401(a)(26), deductibility, and 402(g),• Review annual valuations prepared by outsourcing and peers for accuracy,• Accurately and timely complete and or review form 5500 for filing prior to the annual deadline,• Arrange and attend client meetings to ensure communication and satisfaction,• Develops and executes plans to improve customer satisfaction and overall quality of services,• Preparation of projections upon request,• Review and recommend plan document changes to accommodate changing client needs or client company demographics,• Proactively anticipate plan changes based on participant salaries and demographics to avoid and correct errors,• Assist, as needed, the Trust Accountant Accounting Department with client questions,• Assist, as needed, the Data Collections Department with acquiring information,• Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current ERISA legislation and anticipated legislative revisions through self-directed learning and company-sponsored training programs• Identify areas of improvement and support team members in their training efforts,• Communicate plan issues inter-departmentally,• Act as a back-up for team members,• Additional duties as assigned,• Minimal or no travel required.Qualifications• Proven success in extremely competitive environments,• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, or related studies, or equivalent business experience,• Minimum six years of experience working as a compliance consultant or closely related capacity,• Proficiency in analyzing financial data is necessary,• Strong preference for candidates with Cash Balance Plan experience,• Experience in ASC software desirable, but not required,• Proactively pursue ongoing self-learning initiatives, staying current with industry trends and acquiring new skills, resulting in increased adaptability, enhanced problem-solving capabilities, and demonstrate ability to quickly master new tasks and technologies,• Thoroughly maintain meticulous attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring error-free work and contributing to improved accuracy, quality, and overall productivity within the team, ultimately enhancing one's self reputation for excellence,• Manage multiple tasks concurrently, such as handling a substantial volume of emails alongside meeting industry deadlines,• Extensive client management experience with a proven history of retention and client satisfaction,• Advanced knowledge of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) and related regulations,• Must have the ability to read and comprehend retirement plan documents,• The ability to clearly and concisely articulate retirement terminology to clients,• Must possess understanding of integral part and aspects of Retirement Plans with a special inference on Defined Contribution Plans and Defined Benefit Plans,• ERPA designation, or QPA designation, preferred.
