Our client, an apparel brand based in San Francisco, is looking for a Senior Designer for Women's Knits & Fleece to join their team for a 5 month contract! This role will work a hybrid schedule.Responsibilities:Collaborate with Women's Design Director in developing seasonal concepts for Women's Knits, including non-graphic tees and sweatshirts, and graphic tee and sweatshirt silhouettesCreate and develop seasonal color and print stories for Women's Knit Tops in collaboration with the DirectorDevelop on-brand, trend-right products that drive equity and profitability for the brand and uphold standardsContinuously research and monitor the consumer and marketplace to identify opportunities to stay ahead of the competitionUnderstand and analyze current selling and consider when developing into future trendsSustain effective partnerships with Merchandising, Product Development, and Sourcing to ensure products are engineered to profit and qualityaesthetic goalsManage team creation and execution of PLM BOM data integrity: protos, commercial samples, and production.Strategize and drive GTM timelines, processes, and deliverablesManage two direct reportsRequired Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design5+ years experience as a designer, responsible for all facets of design and developmentExperience managing junior designersExpertise in textiles and product development; strong working knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, fabric construction, fabric finishing techniques, and processesProficient on all design platforms - Adobe CC and PLMMS Office proficiency, Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to multi-task; with the desire to work in a very fast-paced environmentEffective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; especially when it comes to working directly with senior-level directorsIf you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
