We have a great opportunity for a Bilingual Spanish EHS Specialist in the Van Nuys, CA area for a stable and growing organization. This fantastic opportunity allows you to step in and enhance the existing program, contribute fresh ideas, and collaborate directly with the management team.Must be Bilingual Spanish and have a minimum of 2 years of EHS experience preferably in a food manufacturing and or manufacturing environment. Overall Responsibility: The Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist will consult and collaborate with leaders to develop, implement, coordinate, and enhance safety programs and processes. They will provide guidance to ensure the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety are consistently met. This role involves auditing policies for compliance and relevance to current business needs.Key Areas of Responsibility:Ensure HSE compliance within federal, state, and local regulations.Foster a safety culture emphasizing continuous improvement and accountability.Collaborate with HR, insurance providers, healthcare professionals, and employees on Workers' Compensation cases.Conduct site audits to ensure EHS compliance and implement incident reduction initiatives.Perform administrative tasks related to the position's responsibilities.Build effective relationships by sharing resources and knowledge to support business plete assignments on time, follow procedures, and identify improvement opportunities.Collaborate with stakeholders to solve business problems and communicate progress.Qualifications:Associate degree in environmental health and safety or related field AND minimum one (1) year of relevant experience OR minimum two (2) years of relevant experience.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.Strong attention to detail, adaptability to changing priorities, risk & compliance management skills, employee training expertise, and knowledge of ergonomics.Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting regulations, writing reports, and presenting information puter skills as necessary for the role.
