Business Development AssociateThis business development support role requires exceptional communication skills, business development and operations expertise, and a sharp eye for detail. As a Business Development Associate with Tyton Partners Strategy Consulting, you will help manage the business development team to coordinate and support all internal aspects of the business development process, from lead generation to the closing of new business for the strategy consulting practice. You will play an important role within the Firm, working with a diverse set of team members to support the sourcing of prospects, qualification of leads, management of the sales pipeline for senior business development team members, and administration of the firm's CRM.Specifically, as a leader within the Marketing & Business Development team, you will engage with two groups in the firm: the senior business development team and sector-specific consultingt teams. On behalf of the senior executives (~8 senior professionals), you will organize and execute customized and high-quality outreach efforts targeting a range of diverse decision-makers. You will also support marketing and branding initiatives in specific sectors of the education market (e.g., K-12, higher education, corporate workforce development, impact investors philanthropy), help execute outreach campaigns, and participate in conferences and other business development events. Measurement is a key aspect of this role and helping the Firm to quantify sales metrics through its Hubspot CRM is critical.This is an ideal position for a candidate that has strong hands-on sales operations business development and CRM administration experience in a growing firm with an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture.Primary responsibilities of the Business Development Associate include working with and managing workflow of two Business Development Support Specialists to:Research and identify potential companies, contacts, and leads for strategy consulting opportunitiesVet and qualify inbound and outbound leadsManage business development processes ensuring thoroughness and high quality at every stage in the sales cycle; identify opportunities for process improvementSupport managing and oversight of the Company's CRM database (Hubspot) including refining processes and guidelines, usage, data integrity, workflows, training, and reports and dashboardsDevelop key sales metrics, report on these measures, and conduct analysis to determine areas for optimization and improvementCoordinate the preparation and review of RFPsRemain informed about Tyton Partners active and past projects and capabilitiesPartner with the business development teams to implement audience segmented outreach initiativesOccasionally assist with planning and implementing the firm's marketing activities including:Marketing emails, conference sponsorships, and website maintenanceEnhancing the firm's brand awareness and maintain its high-quality corporate imageDeveloping sales and marketing collateral, including pitch decks, new business presentations, webpage updates, and event advertisingDesired SkillsExceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact successfully with different personality types and to effectively develop and maintain strong working relationships inside and outside an organizationAbility to collaborate with and lead junior team membersOutstanding oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated experience managing internal business developmentsales processesProficiency with B2B customer relationship management software, ideally HubspotStrong knowledge of sales analytics and reportingAttention to detail and high-quality standardsProfessional demeanor and sound business judgementAbility to make timely decisions, and be both flexible and adaptableEntrepreneurial thinker and self-starter who is flexible and willing to tackle priorities across a broad spectrum of workTeam-oriented and promotes and coordinates collaborationQualificationsBachelor's degree4-6 years of relevant business development, sales operations, or marketing experience, preferably in a professional services organizationKnowledge of or experience in the education sector preferredAbout Tyton PartnersTyton Partners is the leading provider of strategy consulting and investment banking services to the global knowledge sector.
