Schedule: Full Time Days Shift : 4 10-hour shifts (7am-5pm) The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Celebration · Established in 1997 and now a 203-bed hospital · AdventHealth Celebration Health was designed as a Mediterranean resort-style facility to serve as a cornerstone of health in Disney's planned community of Celebration, Florida · The hospital consistently delivers a state-of-the-art healing environment to residents of Osceola, Orange, Polk and Lake Counties, as well as to visitors from across the United States and the world. All within a 'living laboratory' of groundbreaking, research-driven clinical solutions that integrate mind, body and spirit in the defeat of illness and disease The role you'll contribute: Assists surgeons in preparation for and during surgical procedures The value you'll bring to the team: · Utilizes physician preference cards to set up operating suites. May update and route cards appropriately, when instructed · Determines appropriate surgical equipment and supplies, based on physician's preference · Achieves temporary and permanent hemostasis by applying appropriate techniques · Assists with body plane closures, wound dressing applications, and securing drainage systems · Positions patients appropriately, uses stabilizing equipment when necessary, and prioritizes patient comfort and safety The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed : Minimum qualifications : · American Board of Surgical Assistants · Basic Life Support - CPR Cert · Certified Surgical Technical First Assistant Preferred qualifications: · Two years of technical experience This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
