As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Vice President of Technology to lead our team.The Vice President of Technology will play a critical role in shaping the technological landscape of our organization, driving innovation, and ensuring seamless integration of technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. This position requires a strategic leader who is equally adept at hands-on technical tasks and team leadership.Key Responsibilities1. Leadership and Team Management:Lead and inspire a team of 15 technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, encouraging their professional development and growth.Foster strong cross-functional relationships with other departments to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with business goals.2. Strategic Planning and Execution:Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's objectives, emphasizing scalability, security, and innovation.Identify emerging technologies and trends relevant to the hospitality industry and assess their potential impact on our business.Drive the execution of technology projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.3. Hands-on Technical Expertise:Act as a hands-on technical leader, actively participating in the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions.Provide technical guidance and expertise to resolve complex issues and drive continuous improvement.Stay abreast of advancements in technology and leverage them to enhance our systems and processes.4. Relationship Management:Collaborate with external vendors, partners, and consultants to evaluate and implement technology solutions.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and external partners.Represent the company in industry forums and events, fostering relationships and staying informed of industry best practices.5. Operational Excellence:- Ensure the reliability, availability, and security of our technology infrastructure and systems.- Implement robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard sensitive information and protect against cyber threats.- Continuously monitor key performance metrics and implement strategies to optimize technology operations and resource utilization.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field.10+ years' experience in a Senior level IT position, overseeing multiple properties and projects.Experience in hotel/resort or other hospitality environment preferred.Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Experience leading IT security, risk management, infrastructure, business applications, project management and IT support teams.Effective communicator, facilitator and relationship builder.Nice to Have:Previous experience in the hospitality industry.Familiarity with hospitality-specific technologies such as property management systems (PMS) and guest experience platforms.Comprehensive knowledge of voice & data network and server hardware installation, repair, testing, and troubleshooting required.
