Job Description:We're on the hunt for an agile senior software engineer ready to tackle the challenges of an early-stage startup. You'll play a pivotal role, working directly with the CEO and our burgeoning engineering team, driving the growth of both our team and product portfolio. Your mission will involve coding and hands-on product development for about 3/4 of your time. The other quarter? You'll be instrumental in refining our technical stack, improving our development processes, and fostering team collaboration.If you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.  Job Responsibilities:Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable codeDevelop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements which includes:Constructing VetraFi's banking client to interface seamlessly with our BaaS sponsor and partner bank. Involving:Integration with essential BaaS provider APIs for account openings, fund wiring, account closures, etc.Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standardsSupport test and deployment of new products and featuresParticipate in code reviewsGuide, mentor, and develop our engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvementImplement and refine engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices to enhance productivity and product qualityJob Qualifications:Versatile full stack with 3+ years in the field. Startup or fintech background strongly preferred but not essentialBachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) (strongly preferred, but not required)3+ years of relevant work experienceFamiliarity with our current tech stack, including Typescript, React Native, Express, AWS, and PostgreSQLExperience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologiesAbility to multi-task, organize, and prioritize workCapable of progressing rapidly without micromanagement, valuing autonomy in planning and executionProactive, ambitious, and professionally mature, ready to lead and innovateBased in the NY area, comfortable with a hybrid work model (2 - 3 days in-person / week)
