Travel up to 15% of the time is possible. Relocation incentives may be provided for qualified candidates.Job DescriptionThe Project Manager is expected to utilize expertise in the area of mechanical design and operations to deliver quality results to clients. Focus is on process safety management in the area of mechanical design. Emphasis is placed on quality of the work product and the efficiency of work execution. Candi date will define proposed solutions for implementation of and recommend actions or mitigation plans.The Project Manager will report to either a site manager or project manager who will establish clear expectations in terms of work quality, efficiency, and technical development.To fulfill this role, the Project Manager will:Perform staff-level assignments in an engineering team environmentOversee and provide quality control for Detailed Engineering DesignOversee development of Isometrics with bill of materialsPrepare Project Execution PlansGenerate Detailed Schedule with Resources and Construction PlanProvide support with Materials Management and Vendor selectionGenerate Cost EstimatesInitiate and manage project MOCs and PSSRsProvide Construction Management supportInterpret data from piping & instrument diagrams, process flow diagrams, plot plans, piping isometrics, mechanical design informationUnderstand and comply with all Provenance and client safety procedures that govern the work being performedQualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:BS Mechanical Engineering (Provenance Consulting may consider other engineering)Two or more years of experience in a petrochemical plant or refinery, preferredTwo or more years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferredTwo or more years of experience in project management, preferred·Knowledge in application and compliance requirements of regulatory codes (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards and recommended practices (API, NFPA, ASME, etc.), preferredStrong technical communication ability, both written and oralThe unrestricted right to work in the United States
