As UCG and Soaring Hospitality scaled from 2 locations to 11, we are transitioning from a third-party accounting provider to an in-house financial teamone built for the future.Position OverviewThe Controller will oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic planning across multiple revenue centers, states, and industries.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild & Lead the Accounting DepartmentTransition financial operations from an outsourced provider to a fully in-house team.Hire, train, and develop an accounting team to support the companys rapid expansion.Implement GAAP-compliant accounting policies and internal controls.Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for both UCG and Soaring Hospitality.Develop cash flow strategies and manage financial planning to support scalability.Budgeting & Financial AnalysisLead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasting.Analyze financial performance across multiple revenue centers and provide data-driven recommendations.Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational excellence.Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations across multiple states.Oversee financial audits, ensuring compliance with tax laws and financial reporting requirements.Process Improvement & System ImplementationImplement new accounting systems and automation tools to enhance efficiency.Optimize financial workflows to support long-term scalability.Qualifications & SkillsEducation & ExperienceBachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including multi-unit operations.Prior experience building or scaling an accounting team (strongly preferred).Experience in hospitality, concessions, restaurants, or event-based businesses (a plus).Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and multi-unit accounting practices.Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint).Understanding of multi-state tax compliance and payroll regulations.Leadership & InitiativeProven ability to develop and lead an accounting team.Strong problem-solving skills with a process improvement mindset.Ability to work cross-functionally with leadership, operations, and HR.CommunicationAbility to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Compensation & BenefitsSelf-Built Performance-Based Bonus PotentialHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off & HolidaysTeam Member Discounts & PerksHow to ApplyInterested candidates should submit their professional (and personal, if applicable) resume detailing their qualifications and experience to Spencer Shaw at Spencer@airucg.com.We are on the search for our next partner, and dont intend to be your bargaining chip with your current employer.
