This initiative focuses on nurturing the educational outcomes of Indigenous children aged birth to 12 years in Walgett and Gulargambone communities. Working within a holistic approach, you will support families to improve their childrens early development, school readiness, and overall wellbeing. If you''re passionate about making a positive impact and empowering Indigenous communities, wed love to hear from you!About the Role:This Family Worker is situated within the MacKillop Rural unit which provides:Family support and supported playgroupsParenting and early childhood education servicesCounselling and support to young people who are vulnerable and at risk of homelessnessEarly childhood intervention to people with a disabilityThis is an ongoing Part-time (20 hours a week) opportunity based in Walgett (NSW) within our Indigenous Parenting Service / MacKillop Rural Program.
