You will work at the intersection of AI, data, software engineering, and financial services, building cutting-edge solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experiences.You will be reporting to a newly formed team within Lendi Group that is focused on AI-driven initiatives, working side-by-side with a high-performing, knowledgeable, and fun team.This is a unique opportunity to make an impact on our long-term vision to expand our AI capability across the enterprise. We are open to this being a full-time permanent position or a fixed-term contract arrangement.Due to the nature of the project, you will be required to work from our Sydney-based Head Office alongside the broader project team for four to five days per week.Job DescriptionData Engineering:Data pipeline development, maintenance, and engineering support with modern data stack in a rapid, agile development practices.Have Data Analysis, Data Modelling, Solution Design experience to design solutions to address new requirements or enhancements to existing pipelines and models.Have a clear understanding and can demonstrate experience on data modelling techniques, data integration patterns, and data architectures.Tools/Tech Stack:Data pipeline and ETL tools (DBT, Airflow, Python).Cloud data warehouse development, testing, and production deployments. Experience in Snowflake, DataBricks, S3, Postgres.Cloud services & CI/CD tool chains (e.g. Terraform, Docker, AWS services, S3).AI / ML tools AWS Sagemaker, AWS Bedrock.BI Tools (MS Fabric, Power BI).Performance Optimization:Cloud data warehouse development, testing, and production deployments.Optimize data pipelines, build pipelines & BI solutions for performance and scalability.Implement data engineering best practices, design, testing, documentation, and maintenance.Data Governance:Ensure compliance with data governance policies and procedures.Monitor data quality and address any issues related to data completeness and accuracy.Collaboration:Provide input to solution design & technical support of pipelines.Documentation:Maintain comprehensive documentation of data engineering solutions, data models, and processes.Contribute to design guides and training materials as needed.Issue And Incident Resolution:Provide support for issue and incident resolution.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of data engineering experience with modern development practices.Proficiency in SQL with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks) and experience with ETL tools and processes.Familiarity with programming languages such as Python.Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques.Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
