With Family at the heart of our values, we offer family friendly, flexible work arrangements that allow for a happy work/life balance.Working within the Asset Performance team, this Perth based role will assist in the implementation of the overall asset health and performance systems and reporting development strategy, ensuring these meet the needs of the stakeholder teams and become fully embedded within existing processes. This includes responsibility for engaging with the various stakeholders and department representatives to understand the report requirements and collaboratively building these reports to suit. This involves understanding the end use case of reporting products, organising the relevant datasets using SQL or Python and then building the end user report within the businesses reporting software. Where there are structural gaps in data capture, this position will engage with the data source owners to remediate.Previous experience with mining ore processing equipment is essential. Additionally, experience with, or capability working with data products and analytics is highly regarded. This role requires an individual who can maintain a high level of engagement with a wide range of stakeholders. A key objective is to leverage subject matter experts to understand the source datasets and convert them into useful information to be disseminated throughout the organisation through stakeholder engagement, documentation and communications.Key ResponsibilitiesMeeting with the various department representatives to understand the needs of the systems or reportsProactively analyse asset performance data and identify improvement opportunitiesCommunicate improvement opportunities to the appropriate stakeholders and drive adoptionEnsure confidence in reporting through consistent quality control and assuranceDevelop custom visualisations and data sourcesDevelop new KPIs and associated targets to drive the right business decisions and behavioursMonitor the accuracy of asset performance data sources and, where necessary, coordinate any required improvementsQualifications and ExperienceMechanical, Process, Electrical Engineering degree or similar3+ Years experience within Mobile Maintenance or Fixed Plant Ore Processing environment with maintenance, process or reliability roles (essential), ideally with on-site operational experienceExperience with SAP CMMS or similarDemonstrated high level teamwork and communication skillsExperience with T-SQL and/or Snowflake is essential, Python is beneficialExperience with Tableau or other BI applicationsExperience communicating complex analysis results simply to senior leadersDemonstrated commitment to Health, Safety and Environment is essentialOur CommitmentFortescue celebrates individual strengths and team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
