Every Patient Matters.In this full-time role in East Melbourne, you will work alongside the Patient Services Manager and the Leadership Team to ensure the Patient Services team provides a streamlined and efficient approach to elective and emergency admissions. This covers all aspects of the patients journey prior to admission including theatre bookings, clerical pre-admissions, health fund eligibility checks, and the admission of the patient.As a Surgical Bookings and Reception Team Leader, you''d lead a team responsible for coordinating and managing surgical patient bookings and reception/switchboard and ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient care.The role will also involve responding promptly to enquiries and requests, handling patient accounts, as well as general administrative duties including data entry. The Patient Services Centre is open 7 days a week from 0600hrs to 2100hrs.You will make an impact by:A strong customer focus to ensure a positive patient experience from booking to admission.Coaching and developing employees in the many aspects of Patient Services.Creating a positive team culture through new-starter orientation, recruitment activity, team leadership, and roster management.Managing team workload and ensuring efficient operations.Exceptional attention to detail.An ability to cope under pressure and make informed decisions according to hospital needs.To be successful in this role...Your well-developed administration, customer service, and people skills see you adjust quickly and work effectively as part of any team that you join. Excellent with your time management and organisation skills, you can prioritise effectively to manage multiple requirements.
