Job no: 899466Work type: Full timeLocation: Adelaide CBDCategories: Nursing/MidwiferyWomen''s and Children''s Health Network, Division Paediatric Medicine, North Adelaide (5006)SalaryClassification - RN/M3 - Registered Nurse/Midwife LV 3 - $125,183 to $130,779 + Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice BenefitsFull time - Term Contract (temporary up to 8 Jan 2027)About the OpportunityWe currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Division Paediatric Medicine as a Nurse Unit Manager, where you will be responsible for:Coordinating patient/client care delivery within a Health Unit or Community Service using clinical knowledge and experience.Providing line management, leadership, and coordination of nursing/midwifery and/or multidisciplinary team activities.Ensuring continuity and quality of patient/client care and outcomes.Accepting accountability for nursing and/or multidisciplinary practice outcomes within the designated setting.Identifying and addressing inconsistencies between current practices and established policies.Developing team performance and fostering a positive work culture to support improved patient/client outcomes.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.Registered Nurses with at least 3 years post registration experience.Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards.Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.Ability to review and improve models of care to be person and family centred.What WCHN Can Offer YouRelocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.Salary package a range of benefits (including living expenses such as mortgage, rent, utility bills and groceries) up to $9,010 each FBT year + $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses each FBT year.Access to Fitness Passport (workplace health and fitness program that gives you and your family access to a wide choice of gyms and pools across South Australia).Free public transport for SA Health Metropolitan Hospital workers to and from the Womens and Childrens Hospital.
