Heritage Portfolio are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the team at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.It is one of the world''s leading botanical gardens, home to a spectacular and diverse living collection of plants. After the refurbishment in 2021, our cafes are now destinations in their own right, set in the most beautiful of surroundings. Our emphasis is on fresh, delicious food prepared daily on site using local and seasonal produce including fruit, vegetables and herbs grown right here in our very own Botanics Kitchen Garden!Working flexible shift patterns, we are looking for outstanding customer-focused individuals. Renowned for being a cut above the rest, we would love for you to join the team!Role ResponsibilityWhat youll do, but not limited to:Comply with all Company & client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your workplace.Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the service yard, including but not limited to stacking all kitchen delivery boxes, pallets, and cages in designated areas. Sweep the yard, including the smoking area, ensuring the bin storage area is tidy.Maintain the upkeep and tidiness of the outdoor kitchen and equipment through daily checking. The kitchen should remain clean, tidy, and organized every day according to the Company''s standards and to the agreed specification of the client.Receive and check in all cleaning and disposable goods and check against the invoice for quality and quantity.Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.Keep all work areas and surfaces clean and tidy at all times. Assist with routine cleaning schedules as required and ensure high standards of personal performance, hygiene, appearance, and cleanliness at all times.Ensure the kitchen is closed to the highest level of cleanliness in accordance with Health & Safety Laws, company policy, and client expectations.The Ideal CandidateWhat youll bring:Positive, friendly, and professional attitude.High standards of personal presentation.Able to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.Good awareness of industry standards.Package DescriptionApplicants must be available to work on weekends.Rate of Pay: 12.61 per hour.About the CompanyHeritage Portfolio is the sub-segment of Sodexo Live! that produces outstanding catering and event services for our cultural destinations.
