The Team Leader in the Office for Professional Learning plays an integral role in partnership building support, providing guidance and advice while assisting the Director of the Office for Professional Learning with a wide range of administrative tasks, exercising initiative, judgment, integrity and diplomacy.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:Experience leading and developing student support processes within the Office for Professional Learning (OPL) with a focus on leading Student Support to achieve its objectives.Proven ability to serve as the primary contact for OPL, providing expert guidance on student support policies while maintaining professional confidentiality.Strong data management skills to maintain accurate student records across UNE systems, with demonstrated attention to detail and compliance understanding.Demonstrated experience in developing and coordinating professional learning programs for university students and supervising teachers.Working knowledge of the Professional Experience Liaison Officer (PELO) program, including staff travel coordination and financial management.Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with schools regarding professional experience placements.Proficiency in university systems and technologies, with the ability to adapt to new platforms that support School and Faculty operations.Experience in committee leadership, including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing follow-up actions.Proven ability to manage special events and projects, including logistics coordination for seminars, open Days, and retreats.Comprehensive understanding of UNE education policies and procedures, with commitment to staying current with institutional changes (available on the UNE website).About the FacultyThe Faculty of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Education (HASSE) achieves excellence through focusing on quality in all that we do, offering an environment where staff are safe, welcomed, and respected; valued through self-development, participation and engagement.
