Over-award allowance offered.Full time or Fractional fixed term until 19th May to 20th July 2025.About the RoleTo deliver clinical radiological diagnostic and procedural services to the Department''s patients in MID/SVPR.To provide these services to St Vincent''s Health inpatients, outpatients and patients externally referred to MRI and SVPR (including patients of the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and inpatients of St Vincent''s and Mercy Private Hospital).To deliver these services in a way that will best meet the clinical needs and requirements of the particular referrer or responsible consultant (as the case may be) for any one patient.To deliver these services independently and unsupervised, in a timely and appropriate manner.To deliver specialist clinical radiological services in MID and SVPR.To instruct, supervise and support radiology registrars, fellows and interns in MID/SVPR.To teach Registrars and Fellows both informally during work sessions and formally through tutorials.To provide a consulting service to external clinical units and referring colleagues.To lead and support clinical and educational meetings as required.We are looking for Radiologist with the following skills:Completion of radiology training in an accredited RANZCR program or equivalent.Competence in general radiology, including plain film radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and MRI.General radiology knowledge and experience.Broad knowledge in all aspects of radiology to a level for safe, independent consultant practice, including:plain film radiographyfluoroscopic proceduresultrasound (abdominal, breast, musculoskeletal, obstetric, gynaecological)CT (neuro, head and neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis, musculoskeletal)DEXAMRI (neuro, spine, including emergency indications)Broad range of procedural radiological skills to a level for safe independent consultant practice.Broad range of MR knowledge and experience to a level for independent consultant practice, magnet supervision, protocol development and clinical service growth.Values and attitudePersonal values as expressed through demonstrated behavior and personal track record are concordant with St Vincents Health values of justice, excellence, unity, compassion and human dignity.Your ContributionMedical Degree from a medical school recognized in Victoria.RANZCR Fellowship.Registration with AHPRA.Good standing with own Medical Defense Organisation.Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain/ Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain (Select which is applicable).What we OfferA focus on wellbeing initiatives, with regular events and programs.Confidential, solutions-focused employee counselling.Salary Packaging Increase your take home pay!In the heart of Fitzroy, CBD at our doorstep, close to some of Melbournes best cafes, public transport.Regular opportunities for professional development to assist you to reach your career goals.Culture of continuous improvement.Medical Imaging DepartmentSt. Vincents Medical Imaging Department (MID) is a tertiary imaging department providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services to SVHMs inpatients and outpatients. St Vincents Medical Imaging (MI) is a combined nuclear medicine and radiology department and provides four comprehensive diagnostic imaging programs across three campus sites:Medical Imaging Department (MID)St Vincents Private Radiology (SVPR)Magnetic Resonance Imaging Centre (MRI)Positron Emission Tomography Centre (PET).The department provides 150,000+ image guided therapies yearly across campus to support and facilitate the quaternary services provided by SVHM. All diagnostic modalities are offered, including PET/CT, which is fully integrated into the Medical Imaging Department. Interventional services include general and vascular procedures and interventional neuroradiology. Similarly, diagnostic imaging and procedural interventions are provided to the state based Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcoma service, Cardiac Catheter Labs, Vascular Labs and Operating Suites.St. Vincents Private Radiology (SVPR) is a co-located comprehensive private radiology service providing imaging services to St. Vincent Private Hospital, the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and private outpatients.Working at St VincentsSt Vincents Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) is a leading teaching, research and tertiary health service.
