Our teams support clients across the entire software lifecycle, driving value through strong testing practices and modern quality solutions.Position SummaryThe Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a pivotal role in expanding CloudMarcs footprint across new clients and sectors. This role is focused primarily on new business acquisition, leveraging a strong understanding of Testing and Quality Engineering to identify opportunities, engage key stakeholders, and craft tailored solutions.While the core focus is hunting, the BDM will also contribute to early-stage client advisory discussions, collaborate with internal delivery leads, and support growth initiatives across existing accounts when appropriate.Although Testing and Quality Engineering is the focus, we also value the ability to identify and sell complementary services across Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Software Development, and related IT professional services, adapting our offering based on client needs.Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development (Primary Focus)Identify and secure new business opportunities across Testing, Quality Engineering, and adjacent service areas.Build and manage a strong pipeline through proactive market engagement, networking, and direct outreach.Lead end-to-end sales pursuits from initial engagement through to proposal development and commercial negotiation.Articulate CloudMarcs value proposition across a range of services, tailoring messaging to the clients business and technical needs.Industry Engagement & Market AwarenessLeverage your network to build awareness of CloudMarc and uncover opportunities.Attend industry events, meetups, and forums to promote CloudMarcs expertise and stay abreast of market trends.Monitor the competitive landscape and bring insights back into the business to inform go-to-market activity.Client Advisory & Solution ShapingParticipate in strategic conversations with prospective clients, particularly around quality transformation, test automation, and delivery improvement.Collaborate with CloudMarcs consulting and delivery experts to shape compelling, scalable, and value-aligned solutions.Facilitate smooth handover into delivery while maintaining a point of continuity and expansion potential.Support to Existing Accounts (Secondary Focus)Assist in identifying and developing growth opportunities within existing accounts when appropriate.Support Account Directors in positioning additional services and strategic advisory.Key Skills & ExperienceProven experience in business development or sales roles within IT services, ideally with a focus on software testing, QA, or quality engineering.Demonstrated ability to win new business across enterprise and mid-market accounts.Strong understanding of software testing practices, with the ability to confidently discuss test strategy, automation, performance testing, and QE transformation.Experience selling complementary services such as DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Software Development, or broader IT delivery services is highly regarded.Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal writing skills.Personal AttributesCommercially driven with a self-starting, opportunity-seeking mindset.Technically credible and confident discussing a range of IT services.Professional and persuasive, with strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder awareness.Works well within a collaborative environment, drawing on others to win business.Results-focused, resilient, and committed to delivering value to clients.Ready to shape the future of quality with us?Apply now or reach out directly for a confidential chat.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionBusiness Development, Quality Assurance, and ConsultingIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
