This is a rare opportunity to obtain a full time permanent Grade 2 role in the acute setting with opportunities to work across a variety of programs in acute inpatients, specialist outpatient clinics and other programs. As a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist you will have the opportunity to lead quality improvement activities, supervise junior staff and students and develop your leadership and management skills.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, and implement interventions across acute, sub-acute, outpatient, community, and aged care caseloads while prioritising based on clinical need and eligibility.Deliver services in line with clinical care models, evidence based practice, and lead quality improvement activities, spending 70% of time on client care.Provide concise handovers, lead group programs and presentations, and involve clients and carers in care planning while liaising with services for holistic care.Align practice with health promotion principles, GH values, and comply with policies and codes of conduct, ensuring accurate documentation.Supervise students, engage in professional development, and contribute to policy review, while managing time, risk, and maintaining mandatory training and certification.Skills & ExperienceBachelors degree in Speech Pathology and Certification with Speech Pathology Australia (full or provisional)Current drivers licenceStrong experience in assessment, treatment, and management of adults with various diagnoses, including a commitment to evidence-based careExperience with instrumental assessments (VFSS, FEES) desirableProven ability to lead quality improvement activities and drive positive changeStrong skills in supervision, mentoring, and empowering others through training and development.Why Grampians Health?Opportunity to specialise: Seize the chance to work across adult streams, pursue your areas of interest and find what areas excite you.
