This includes monitoring selected areas of the business, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, managing Business Unit queries, performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), closing Business Unit monthly results, preparing Financial Statement Analysis notes for HY and FY as well as supporting the wider team in driving continuous improvements across all aspects of the teams performance.Take ownership of end-to-end financial processes, including timely profit and loss reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.Address business partner queries promptly and professionally, keeping them informed about progress and next steps.Actively participate in meetings and engage with stakeholders to resolve issues, collaborate on improvements, and enhance value for the business.Champion initiatives to continuously improve processes within your area of responsibility, including collaborating with other teams when necessary.Provide training and guidance to Assistant Accountants and Accountants, promote consistent work practices, and offer assistance during peak periods to achieve team goals.What You''ll BringYou will have a finance related degree with a CA or CPA qualification (or studying towards)1-3 years of relevant experience, exposure in retail/large corporate will be advantageousExpertise in reconciling complex accounts, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions.Understanding and practical application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Google Suite, SAP, BPC, GCP and Excel & Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for decision-making.What You''ll ExperienceWe embrace diversity of thought and love to take on challenges with a pragmatic and innovative approach.
