FCCS offers services in Townsville & Mt Isa with outreach to Ingham, Ayr, Charters Towers & Cloncurry. Joining a values-driven, supportive, and inclusive team, you will: Provide counselling to families/children/individuals using flexible and appropriate approaches aligned with Centacare NQ policies and procedures. Conduct assessments, develop therapeutic goals, and provide evidenced-based, best practice counselling to meet therapy objectives. Collaborate with team members and participate actively in case discussions. Manage client load according to funding and service agreement targets. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally to support organisational and program goals. Conduct overnight outreach to other locations. Skills and Experiences: To be successful in this role, you will have: A relevant tertiary degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Behavioral Sciences and eligibility for professional membership. Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including document preparation for case planning or advocacy. Experience delivering evidence-based therapeutic counselling, formulating therapy plans, and working within established time frames. Understanding of relevant legislation and service delivery models, with the ability to work within such frameworks and stay updated on research and best practices. Current open driver''s license. Current Working with Children Blue Card and Disability Worker Screening. Ability to work culturally sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and other CALD communities (Desirable). Experience in working with diverse populations and communities.
