**Volunteering at Grounded Paws Cat Cafe - Australias favourite (and possibly only) cat rescue, cafe, and community charity.**Grounded Paws is unique in that we care for cats through foster care support and transportation, and we also run the GPAR Cat Cafe, one of the most unique rescue spaces in the country.We have created a community filled with happiness, love, and a shared passion for animals!Our volunteers are the heart of our mission. They work in a happy and supportive environment, whether in the Cat Cafe, at fundraiser events, or elsewhere. If you love cats and have some free time, we want you to join our family!Weve grown significantly in recent months, with record days, local support, and strong community engagement leading to new homes and positive outcomes.As a volunteer, you will gain hands-on experience with animals, make new friends, and help improve the lives of animals we rescue and the families they join.We are currently seeking Cafe volunteers for the following shifts:Tuesday to Friday: 10/10:30 AM to 4 PMSaturday: 9/9:30 AM to 4 PMWe also need enthusiastic volunteers for lounge cleaning in the mornings and to stay if needed:Morning clean: 9:30 AMOur team cares deeply about each other and the cats, working together to find loving homes. The Cat Cafe is a peaceful haven for all cat lovers.We operate on a roster system. If you can commit to a 4-hour shift once a week, fortnight, or every three weeks, please complete a volunteer form.Thank you for supporting animals and the Traralgon community!Relevant tasks include: Driving & Transportation, Food Preparation & Service, Trades & Maintenance, Working with Animals.CommitmentRegular - less than 6 monthsTrainingWe provide onsite cafe and animal care training. The cats also offer affection training, where they will teach you about cat love.Time requiredWe run a busy and vibrant cat cafe rescue. Volunteers are encouraged to contribute a couple of hours or more. Ideally, a once-a-month commitment is welcome, but weekly help is highly appreciated.
