You will possess a demonstrated understanding of IT Security principles associated with networks, internet, email, operating systems, firewalls, VPN''s, databases, anti-malware management, intrusion detection, cryptography and e-commerce, with expertise in several of these fields.As a member of an operational team you will be required to use your cyber security experience and skills in delivering cyber security and business outcomes.You will possess the following:2 years or more experience working in a Cyber Security operational role that includes designing, configuring, building, troubleshooting, maintaining and supporting Cyber Security technologies (cloud and non-cloud), together with a complementing 5 years experience working in an operational ICT infrastructure/software development role/s.Advanced technical skills and proven methodology in root cause problem solvingProven effective communicator who can proactively identify requirements and/or problems from diverse customers to deliver their outcomes and improve security.Demonstrated aptitude to do what it takes to minimise cyber security risks while delivering business outcomes for Energy QueenslandCritical to your success in the role will be your:Degree Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline and/or equivalent industry experience and demonstrated competence appropriate to the position.Industry certification in one or more of the following: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) ; F5 Certified Technical Specialist, MIMECast Email SecurityExperience in reviewing and securing physical (endpoints, servers, appliances), virtual (VDI, VMWare), and cloud-based enterprise technologies.Experience in the implementation of security controls, risk frameworks, and standards (ISO 27001, ASD Information Security Manual, Essential 8 and NIST).Proficient in Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), phishing and social engineering, network access controllers (NAC), gateway anti-malware and enhanced authentication.Experience in subnetting, DNS, encryption technologies and standards, VPNs, VLANs, VoIP and other network routing methods skills.Understanding of Modern Authentication Protocols, DNS, Active Directory, Exchange, Networking, Security Enclave design, and Data Classification.Demonstrated experience writing and reviewing documentation including, but not limited to, design documents, competency standards, knowledge base articles and work instructions.Demonstrated experience in building working relationships and fostering teamwork with multi-disciplinary teams including both internal and external resources whilst ensuring that operational and organisation strategic initiatives are met.Demonstrated experience managing change, resolving conflicts and analytically assessing risks to ensure operational outcomes are met to deliver positive business outcomes.Wed also love you to have:Desirable qualifications (current) across the following:Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)F5 Certified Solution ExpertCloud Certified (Certified Cloud Security Professional, Azure Security Engineer Associate)Netskope Security Cloud Implementation and Integration CertifiedPlease refer to the position description for the full details applicable to the role.You will be required to complete a probity check prior to commencement.What matters most?
