The role supports key function areas including:Ongoing risk management of the structured real estate financing portfolio in Oceania.Supporting the origination and management of our growing structured real estate businesses.Supporting the team in pursuing the banks risk / return targets through (a) conducting credit reviews and monitoring in accordance with the banks internal procedures; and (b) delivering on a number of strategic and balance sheet focused tasks / assessments.The role has been created to support the continued build-out of a rapidly growing real estate financing business in Oceania. You will be working with market leading originators, relationship managers, product partners, and our credit team.What youll be doing:Account Management:Credit analysis across a portfolio of clients with a focus on credit quality monitoring and the achievement of the banks risk / return targets through:conducting annual credit reviews and internal rating reviewscovenant compliance monitoringsupporting refinancing and other revenue initiatives across the portfoliocoordinating within the MUFG networkclient interactions on tasks required for on-boarding and account managementPortfolio Management:Support the portfolio team in the management of the real estate portfolio, including a focus on sector risk / return and other strategic review processesSupport the ongoing management and growth of the real estate business through ongoing care and maintenance of the real estate portfolio (including both corporate clients and structured real estate financing)Credit & Portfolio:Support the C&P team in managing customer risk and limit allocationHelp identify emerging risks, themes and opportunities to drive better risk and return outcomes for the bankCustomer Acquisition:Support business growth via (1) on-boarding/origination/monitoring of new clients and (2) improve portfolio construction to ensure we bank the right clients, and sponsors as part of our local, regional and global growth plansWhat we are looking for:Minimum 2-4 years experience in a major domestic bank with strong focus in the real estate sector, however candidates from credit rating agencies, valuation agencies and real estate investment management firms will also be considered.The ideal candidate should have:Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with knowledge of finance and accountingProficiency in financial analysis, modelling and general Excel skillsIdeally some loan documentation experienceUnderstanding of financial and economic markets in generalUnderstanding of the real estate markets and key driversAbility to engage in independent research and analysis of customers and markets and apply critical thinking and a high level of attention to detailStrong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to create and maintain relationshipsHigh motivation and an ability to manage conflicting prioritiesStrong attention to detail, an analytical mindset that can work independently and excellent problem-solving skillsBusiness / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading university is essential, and a Master of Finance, MBA or CFA will be considered favourably.Our culture:MUFG fosters a highly professional, supportive work environment that enables our employees to help maximize our customers'' prosperity.
