A Principal Architect must supervise and lead technical teams and be recognized as an expert through significant career experience in enterprise IT leadership or demonstrated technical/professional services expertise in AI and one or more WWT technology practices. The individual will often lead customer facing AI projects, developing deliverables such as white papers, plans, strategies, AI models, designs, assessments, and business case analyses. As the designated Solution/Technical leader, the Principal Architect will collaborate with PMO leadership to form the "Two in the Box" model, a crucial part of WWT''s approach to driving successful project outcomes. Responsibilities: Solutions/Technical Leadership Responsibilities Understand all client scopes and objectives, acting as the primary AI/technical voice facing the client externally and the escalation point internally for WWT employees, Partners, and Contractors. Partner with the PMO counterpart to resolve Risks and Issues upon identification, specifically focusing on AI related challenges. Resolve technical Risks and Issues using expertise and resources available within WWT, particularly in AI and machine learning. Ensure staff, contractors, and partners adhere to WWT best practices and templates for AI solution delivery. Review deployment documents, technical assessments, and other outputs to ensure consistency and accuracy, aligning with AI and "One Voice" standards. Manage projects as standalone businesses, focusing on profitability, professionalism, and successful AI integration. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the main technical contact between WWT and the customer, ensuring the team meets the customer''s AI and technical needs from project inception to completion. Lead architecture development activities and methodologies, conducting comprehensive discovery, analysis, and technical/business AI recommendations. Demonstrate advanced communication skills, including AI focused business/technical writing and presentations. Present in-depth AI and technical solutions effectively. Self-motivated and energize project teams to exceed customer and project goals. Work successfully at all customer levels, from C-level executives to end users, providing thoughtful leadership and innovative AI driven thinking. Maintain a positive peer and customer service attitude despite significant challenges. Drive additional profitable growth within accounts, developing relationships throughout the customer''s organization to source new AI business. Deliver project work ensuring quality, standards, and methodologies are followed, with appropriate AI resources available. Participate with Sales during the sales process through AI Project Scoping Workshops (PSWs), presentations, solutions, and development of Scopes of Work. Bridge between Sales and Professional Services for new AI opportunities. Foster long term client relationships with a proven track record of customer focus. Manage partner and vendor resources effectively, particularly those focused on AI technologies. General understanding of financial forecasting, reporting, and budgeting. Personnel management experience with expertise in AI project architectural principles and practices. Willingness to travel 5075% of the time. Take full responsibility for the overall execution and delivery of critical AI tasks or projects. Create an environment fostering open and candid discussions, especially regarding AI and innovation. Convey WWT''s vision in terms others can identify with, focusing on AI improvements. Allocate time and resources to AI and strategic priorities, working through others to break down barriers between teams. Demonstrate coaching and mentoring abilities, expanding technical AI knowledge. Exhibit professional maturity and presence, mentoring junior team members on AI projects. Act as a technical expert in AI, managing technical swim lanes of large or multidisciplinary/multiphase AI projects. Maintain current knowledge of AI industry trends and tools, providing best practice insights and recommendations. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, departmental, IT, and corporate standards, policies, and guidelines. Exhibit perpetual positivity and optimism, aligning with core values. Solve problems and resolve project dysfunction using AI creativity and core values. Leverage core values to hold individuals or teams accountable and advocate core values. Qualifications: Minimum Extensive industry experience in IT infrastructure architecture development, technology consulting, advisory, or professional services, with a focus on AI. Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Architect or equivalent experience in AI projects. Preferred Thorough understanding of at least one central WWT technology core focus area, including AI driven Infrastructure Modernization, Security Transformation, or Multi cloud architecture. One or more major industry IT certifications, ideally with one or more of WWTs core OEM partners in AI. Demonstrated leadership, team building, and management skills, particularly in AI projects. Advanced client facing skills, including analyzing and providing AI solutions to complex architecture or services problems, influencing, and negotiating with clients. Demonstrated technical consulting experience in one or more vertical sectors: government, public sector, higher education, finance, health care, technology, or other commercial.
