The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia . About the Position As part of Cross River Rail, a new world-class ETCS signalling system will be delivered through a collaboration between Cross River Rail Delivery Authority, Queensland Rail, and Hitachi Rail as the Sequence Alliance. Key accountabilities: Supports Sequence Engineering Manager and Design Manager; preparing reports, attending technical meetings, tracking, and coordinating technical activities. Drives the implementation of the technical solution within the assigned scope. Monitors document submission in terms of on time, on quality, and on budget. Coordinates project technical activities in line with the procedure implementing design and verification process (i.e. design review). Ensures the technical interface activities toward the Customer, Authorities, and the partners, in case of consortium configuration. Ensures that project objectives are clearly communicated to the project team and monitors technical project activities ensuring they align with the project schedule. Guarantees the execution of the Verification activities by monitoring their execution and in accordance with the V&V Plan. Contributes to the definition and execution of T&C activities. Ensures all activities undertaken are conducted with due regard to a high level of continuous improvement and a high level of safety. Key knowledge and experience: Degree in Engineering or Computer Science with background in Systems Engineering. 5+ years of experience in a Project Management or Project Engineering role, with experience in rail, systems, and signalling. Experience in turnkey projects (within rail signalling) highly desirable, particularly delivering systems such as ETCS, ERTMS, and CBTC. Experience in effective resource management and working with a large multi-cultural team. Experience in real-time system engineering; testing and integration activities, software verification and validation best practices and safety-critical techniques. Agile mindset, able to take prompt decisions in a challenging environment. Ability to analyse data and draw insights to inform decision-making.
