Associate Director (Project Finance) - Bank of China MelbourneBank of China is seeking an energetic and highly motivated Associate Director (Project Finance) to join the Bank''s Melbourne Branch.The primary responsibilities of this role include structuring, executing, and managing project finance transactions across sectors such as infrastructure, energy, renewables, and natural resources. The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members to assist with financial modelling, risk assessment, documentation, and due diligence, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including sponsors, investors, financial advisors, and other banks.Responsibilities:Deal Origination & Execution:Assist in structuring, negotiating, and executing project finance transactions, ensuring alignment with the Bank of China''s risk appetite and strategic goals. Participate in meetings and conference calls with banks, clients, legal counsel, financial advisors, and due diligence consultants.Financial Modeling & Analysis:Develop complex financial models to assess project feasibility, debt structuring, and perform sensitivities.Risk Assessment & Due Diligence:Conduct credit and risk analyses on current and prospective transactions.Stakeholder Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, sponsors, banks, and financial advisors.Credit Submissions:Prepare or assist in preparing credit submissions.Portfolio Management:Prepare annual reviews, monthly or quarterly reports, waiver requests, and watchlist reports. Respond to information requests from BOC Sydney branch, BOC Head Office, and other branches within the BOC global network.Minimum Skills and Experience:Bachelor''s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields.At least five years of experience in corporate banking, project finance, investment banking, or structured finance, preferably at a leading financial institution or global bank.Industry knowledge in infrastructure, energy, renewables, or natural resources financing is preferred.Proficiency in financial modeling, credit risk analysis, and loan structuring.
