The RoleThe acquisition of conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarines is a historic and transformative endeavour for Australia. The whole-of-nation effort to safely and securely deliver the cutting edge nuclear-powered submarine program will transform Australias economic and national security landscape for decades to come.The Chief Risk Officer is responsible for advising and supporting the Australian Submarine Agency in achieving a positive risk culture.Key duties will include:Advise the ASA Executive Team on risk management matters, including guiding and influencing risk-based decisions.Work with the ASA Executive Team to identify, measure, and evaluate all key current, emerging, and future risks.Steward and improve the ASA Risk Management System.Support the ASA Executive Team to influence ASA culture, including providing objective advice and assurance on the performance and behaviours of people, processes, and systems.Lead and manage the ASA risk management framework integrated project team.About our TeamAs part of the Australian Submarine Agency, you will be working at the cutting edge of capability delivery, supported by professionalisation pathways so you can continue to develop, along with unique and varied career opportunities.
