The Senior Transport Coordinator will be overseeing and coordinating the safe and efficient planning of truck movements within the Perth metro and WA regional areas. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient freight delivery services to our customers.This role is pivotal in ensuring and prioritising:a safety-first culturecompliance adherenceoptimisation of resourcesYour exceptional collaboration skills will enable you to collaborate closely with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless transport operational execution.Your Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and monitor fleet movements to ensure safe, cost-efficient, and reliable freight distribution.Assist the Operations Manager in managing the team of drivers.Assign appropriate trailers and trucks based on load dimensions and weight.Develop comprehensive plans for the allocation and scheduling of fleet and drivers.Proactively assess and mitigate risks associated with fleet planning.Liaise with internal & customer stakeholders, including warehouse teams, logistics personnel, and customer service representatives.RequirementsYour Skills & KnowledgePrevious experience in a similar role, in transportation and/or contract distribution, with expertise in fleet planning and scheduling.Strong knowledge of Perths metro area and regional network, traffic patterns, and safety regulations.Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders of the business.In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance, including load restraint, driver fatigue management, road safety regulations, and WAHVA systems.If you are looking for stability and career progression, then this role is for you.
