It is this approach that has seen us becoming one of the largest home builders in NSW.THE ROLEThe Construction Area Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the construction of our quality homes, adherence to quality standards, manage material deliveries, on-site sub-contractors, and fostering a positive team environment. This role requires a blend of construction expertise, leadership skills, and a customer-centric focus.Your day-to-day tasks would involve but not limited to:Oversee construction phases, complete inspections, coordinating trades, and ensuring the building process delivers high-quality results.Manage construction timelines, identify delays, and implement strategies for timely project completion.Resource planning, procurement, and maintenance of an effective trade base.Resolve building complaints and disputes, meeting client expectations.Supervise, develop and direct team members, set performance standards, and conduct performance reviews.Budget preparation, forecasting, and target setting in collaboration with the Building Manager.Develop and implement processes to manage costs and prevent margin erosion.Proactively address safety practices, conduct regular site safety checks, and implement safe work practices.To be successful for this role you''ll need:Strong influencing and motivating skills with demonstrated leadership experience.Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification is nice to have with proven experience as a Construction Area Manager within the residential industry.Thorough knowledge of construction processes and OH&S aspects.Understanding of environmental aspects in building and construction projects.Carpentry background will be an advantage.Excellent interpersonal skills and strong Conflict resolution skills.Willing and available to commute from Austral to St Georges Basin as required for the role when needed.Perks of working with CPGCompetitive remuneration with annual reviewsCareer advancement opportunities to help you to reach your professional goals.Flexible working arrangementsLearning and development opportunities online learning platform and site training.Paid parental leave for primary and secondary carers.Rewards Days for the outstanding performers An opportunity to experience something new as part of our Reward and Recognition scheme.Discount on building a home.Access to novate leases.Generous employment referral bonuses scheme.Discount from our suppliers household appliances, materials and stunning furniture at cheaper prices.Company Vehicle for Construction Employees - youll get to drive a dual cab Ford Ranger.Access to our Employee assistance program.CPG values an innovative, diverse workplace where all colleagues feel empowered to be their authentic selves.
