Key Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and Manage WHS Initiatives Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices within the Northern Territory''s union movement. Deliver HSR Training Plan, coordinate, and conduct Health and Safety Representative (HSR) training programs across the NT to enhance workplace safety knowledge. Provide WHS Expertise Offer advice and support to affiliated unions, workplace leaders, and activists to build a strong culture of safety and compliance. Develop Workplace WHS Leaders Identify and mentor workplace safety advocates to strengthen union-led WHS advocacy efforts. Mobilise Workers on WHS Issues Support unions in empowering workers to take collective action on WHS concerns. Engage Workers Using Organising Strategies Implement frameworks and tools to ensure worker participation in WHS initiatives. Support WHS Policy Development Assist senior leadership in formulating and executing WHS policies, procedures, and strategic plans. Monitor and Report on WHS Performance Provide regular updates to the General Manager on WHS trends, challenges, and necessary interventions.
