At The Childrens House, a small privately owned early childhood centre on the Northern Gold Coast, we are seeking a warm and reliable Kitchen Assistant / Educator to join our passionate team. This is a unique part-time opportunity to combine your love of nourishing food with your interest in early childhood education, within a child-centred environment. About the Role This is a permanent part-time position with a focus on the smooth and safe running of our kitchen as well as assisting our classrooms. Youll play an important role in our daily rhythm, helping children feel nurtured and supported throughout their day. We are passionate about the importance of nutrition as part of self-care and view meal times as a wonderful opportunity to guide grace and courtesy, cultural learning and social skills. Key responsibilities include: Preparing fresh morning and afternoon snacks Setting up and serving catered lunches with care and efficiency for up to 32 children Maintaining a safe, clean and inviting kitchen environment Supporting educators in the rooms as neededhelping with transitions, engaging with children, and bringing a calm presence to the day About You Youll be a warm, organised and proactive person who takes pride in creating a sense of calm and order - whether in the kitchen or with the children.
