Reporting directly to the CEO, this role plays a critical role in leading EDU Groups non-academic operations, ensuring excellence in student services, administration, engagement, facilities, IT, and data reporting.Based at our Sydney campus, this is an exciting opportunity to develop and drive impactful operational strategies across a national education provider, working collaboratively with teams across admissions, academic, marketing, finance, and quality assurance.Key responsibilities include but are not limited toStrategy and operationsContribute to the development of strategic and business plans for EDULead the development and implementation of strategy as well as efficient day to day operations ofStudent administrationStudent events and engagementWorkplacement and industry partnershipsFacilities and campus managementSystems and IT managementNurture and lead the national and offshore team to deliver outstanding student support and satisfactionContribute to the development and implementation of workforce planning, ensuring the Group has sufficient employees to deliver on agreed service standardsCollaborate with key stakeholders and deliver a high level of student engagement throughout the learning journey, ensuring an overall positive experienceAnalyse and interpret data across various teams, including providing accurate and timely data to internal management teams and the governance committeeContribute to the design and operation of appropriate governance structures and mechanisms across all group providersReport to and actively participate in relevant governance boards and committees, as requiredCollaborate on the development of, regularly review, and improve, policies and processes related to the Groups operational function activitiesSupport internal audit and other review activities to ensure practices within the operations function remain aligned to relevant policies and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with other executives on the assessment and implementation of strategic growth opportunities,s including new product and campus opportunities, partnershipCost managementParticipate in the development of the annual Group budgetManage costs that are within the control of the operations function in accordance with the budgetProvide analysis and commentary on any budget variances in relation to monthly management accountsTeam leadershipDemonstrate leadership and support the development of such leadership within the operations functionthrough mentoring, coaching, and facilitating opportunities for ongoing training and developmentEmbrace and model the fundamental values of the Group and ensure these characteristics are consistently applied across all key initiatives and decision-makingActively engage in developing a positive and supportive culture within your team and across the GroupImplement diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to promote DEI within the operations team, as well as ensuring that these principles are integrated into all student services(A detailed position description will be shared with short-listed candidates)Education, experience, and skillsBachelor or higher qualification preferredExtensive experience in the education sector in a senior leadership role including developing, leading, and managing high-performing teamsExperience with management of data input, including reporting and analysisHigh attention to detail and results-focusedDemonstrated understanding of requirements associated with regulatory frameworks, especially the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018Excellent IT literacy, particularly in the Microsoft Office suiteExperience using and maintaining databases (eg. CRMs, Student Management Systems, PRISMS)Experience with customer relationship management / contact centre software (eg.
