The CEO will lead the health service to deliver the highest standards of clinical care, exceptional patient experience and lead a culture that is underpinned by the values of respect, accountability and collaboration. As the second largest health service within the Gippsland Health Service Partnership, the CEO will drive regional collaboration, providing visionary leadership to improve health outcomes within the catchment and the communities within the broader Gippsland region.The incoming CEO will be highly strategic executive leader, with a proven ability to lead and support the organisation to navigate challenges and opportunities ahead. With a strategic lens to regional leadership, the CEO will build trusted relationships with key stakeholders including within the Department, other health services and the community, seeking opportunities for efficiencies and better healthcare outcomes. Experienced as a leader within the health sector, the appointed CEO will have the knowledge and expertise to support discussions and decision making in regard to strategic planning, funding, budgeting, clinical governance and the delivery of excellence of care. The Board is seeking a CEO with an open, transparent and adaptable style, with the gravitas and commitment to lead the health service forward into the future.The OrganisationThe West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) is a sub-regional provider of health services located in the Shire of Baw Baw, approximately 100km east of Melbourne. The WGHG employs more than 1500 staff across its sites including Community Centres in Warragul and Trafalgar, the Rawson Community Health Centre, Cooinda Lodge Aged Care Residence, Andrews House Aged Care Residence, Warragul Linen Service and the West Gippsland Hospital. The WGHG has over 200 beds delivering acute and aged care, and provides a broad range of services including acute medical and surgical, paediatric, obstetrics & gynaecology, emergency, aged care and community services.
