SAE University College Sydney is looking for a Fixed Term Technical Team Coordinator to lead our technical team and oversee the operation of our studios and equipment. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, technical precision, and fostering an inspiring educational space.Responsibilities include:Maintain and oversee the campus''s cutting-edge film, music, and audio equipment, ensuring all facilities remain fully operational and organised.Provide technical support and guidance to students during practical sessions, fostering a safe and creative learning environment.Monitor and uphold Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards, addressing faults promptly and ensuring compliance across facilities.Plan and manage the Tech Team roster while overseeing studio bookings, student attendance, and equipment usage.Assist with administrative tasks, including equipment inventory, reporting technical issues, and coordinating maintenance schedules.Contribute to campus activities by supporting promotional events and showcasing the institutes state-of-the-art facilities.Lead and support a team of studio technicians, providing training, monitoring performance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.QualificationsOur ideal candidate can demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:Strong technical expertise and industry experience in audio, music production, and/or filmmaking, with proficiency in studio and location equipment, lighting, cameras, and grip workflows.Degree qualification or equivalent professional experience in a related creative discipline, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.A passion for supporting students to reach their potential, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and student support.Outstanding organisational and communication skills, with a proactive approach and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.Flexibility to work evenings as required, including ensuring after-hours security and closing procedures.Additional InformationAt SAE our employee perks and benefits include:Unlimited global career opportunities across the Navitas portfolioFlexible working arrangementsSalary packaging and novated leasing2 paid volunteer days per year for your passionate causesHealth & well-being packages including free counselling and well-being specialist support for employees and family membersDiscounted gym memberships, private health insurance, movie tickets, travel, hotels, insurance and selected retailersAccess to LinkedIn Learning and professional development opportunitiesDiversity Equity and Inclusion:SAE University College, as part of Navitas, promotes and embraces an inclusive and diverse workforce.
